Are you dreaming about tattoo in bio-mechanical style? Today it could be even made by machine. Although industrial robots are considered as safe and reliable I personally don’t trust them enough to allow them to cut my skin with a needle.

“Everything you need to know about Robotics from beginner to expert!”

“Terms like Kinematics and Forward/Inverse kinematics sound complicated while in this book they are describe in such a way that a child can understand it.”

“Highly recommended.”

As you see other people don’t have similar concerns. From a technical point of view allowing a robot to make a tattoo is not a big deal. You need an exact scan of the skin surface and precisely measured TCP. As long as you have your body in one place there is nothing to worry about during making a tattoo.

Robot tattooist has steady hands but isn’t great at real-time correction of trajectory according to tattooed skin position. He also doesn’t have a sophisticated force detection mechanisms. Every (even unintentional) misplacement of the body could be hurtful and will ruin the shape of your design.
